§ 62-3. Hours of operation.

  • (a)

    All parks and recreational areas owned or operated by or under the auspices of the town, except for the bike paths, shall be closed to the public from 11:00 p.m. to sunrise the next day. No person shall be permitted in or on the park or recreational area between these times, except for the bike paths, which shall be open 24 hours per day.

    (b)

    Persons shall be permitted to remain in the parks and recreational areas after 11:00 p.m. for the completion of any sporting or recreational activity then in progress which is being conducted by or which is officially sanctioned by the Hope Mills Youth Association, Inc., or the parks and recreation department. After 11:00 p.m., all persons shall leave the park or recreational area immediately after completion of the sporting or recreational activity, and in no event shall any person remain on or in the park or recreational area more than one-half hour after the officially sanctioned sporting or recreational activity has been completed.
