§ 62-180. Waiver of fees.

  • (a)

    The following local civic organizations may be allowed to use the community center at no charge provided it is not otherwise reserved for any other lessee:

    (1)

    Hope Mills Senior Citizens Club.

    (2)

    Take Off Pounds Sensibly (T.O.P.S.).

    (3)

    All other organizations allowed by law including, but not limited to:

    a.

    Hope Mills Veterans of Foreign Wars (V.F.W.).

    b.

    Hope Mills Knights of Columbus.

    c.

    Hope Mills Girl Scouts.

    d.

    Hope Mills Boy Scouts.

    e.

    Hope Mills Cub Scouts.

    f.

    Hope Mills Schools and educational groups.

    g.

    Hope Mills Friends of the Library.

    h.

    Hope Mills Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International.

    i.

    Retired Enlisted Association.

    j.

    First United Pentecostal International.

    k.

    La Leche League.

    (b)

    Any local civic organization listed above who meets on a regular basis may schedule their meetings for an entire year subject to the current fee schedule. A special lease agreement must be completed and on file in the parks and recreation office before January of the subject year and calculated fees remitted to confirm the meeting dates.

    (c)

    Local civic organizations listed in subsection (a) of this section may use the community center, at no cost, for no more than four other special events of the subject year, but they must complete a special lease agreement for that event, to be received by the parks and recreation office at least 30 days in advance, along with the agreement specified in subsection (b) of this section. In accordance with section 62-174(c), these reservations may be made up to one year in advance.
