There is hereby created a parks and recreation advisory committee which shall consist
of at least seven regular members and three liaison members. Each regular member shall
be a resident of the town at the time of their appointment and throughout their term,
and all regular members shall be appointed by the board of commissioners. The three
liaison members, representing the town senior citizen supervisor, the town senior
citizens club, and the town youth association, will serve in a non-voting status.
Regular members shall be appointed by the board of commissioners at the second regular
meeting in January of each year following the municipal elections. The terms of office
shall be two years. Liaison members will be submitted to the board of commissioners
through their organizations and shall be appointed by the board of commissioners at
the second regular meeting in January of each year following the municipal elections.
The terms of office shall be two years. All vacancies shall be filled by the board
of commissioners. All members shall serve without compensation.
