§ 102-55. Application.

(a)

Any person desiring to operate a taxicab in the town shall make application to the board of commissioners through the inspector of taxicabs, upon the following form:

The Inspector of Taxicabs for the Town of Hope Mills, North Carolina

Name of Owner and/or Operator ___________

Age ___

Number and description of vehicles proposed to be used ___

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? ___

Have you ever been convicted of a violation of any Federal or State statute relating to possession or sale of intoxicating liquor or prostitution or possession or sale of narcotic drugs? ___

Have you ever been convicted of a violation of any traffic laws? ___

Are you an habitual user of intoxicating liquors or narcotic drugs? ___

(b)

In addition to completion of the form in subsection (a) of this section, any person desiring to operate a taxicab within the town shall, as condition of such application, permit his fingerprints to be taken by the town, as appropriate, for purposes of conducting a criminal history record check.
