§ 94-129. Standing or parking close to curb.

  • No person shall stand or park an automobile in a roadway other than parallel with the edge of the roadway headed in the direction of lawful traffic movement and with the right-hand wheels of the automobile within 18 inches of the curb or edge of the roadway, except as otherwise provided in this article. In no case shall vehicles other than automobiles, motorized or not, be allowed to stand or park in a roadway or within a street right-of-way. Such vehicles may include, but are not limited to, commercial trucks and/or trailers, motor homes, travel trailers, open or enclosed cargo trailers, and boats and boat trailers. Nothing in this section is intended to conflict with other parts of this article that may allow specific provisions for standing or parking, or in certain circumstances prohibit or restrict parking or standing.
