§ 86-101. Painting of numbers.

  • (a)

    Property owners are allowed the privilege to paint or have painted on the faces of curbs in front of buildings owned by those owners the property numbers of those buildings, provided the painting shall be done according and subject to the following standards and specifications:

    (1)

    Color. The background shall be of a green color, which shall match the green color used by the town on its street names and other signs. The numerals shall be of white paint, which shall include silver-colored reflecting coating or elements that reflect white light.

    (2)

    Size. The background shall be five inches high and shall not exceed 18 inches in length. The numerals shall be three inches high.

    (b)

    Any person who shall paint or have painted any property number or other painting on a curb of a street in the town, other than is in this section authorized shall be in violation of this section.
