§ 74-29. Advertising; signs.

  • (a)

    Signs permitted. Only the following specified signs may be displayed in relation to a pending yard sale:

    (1)

    Number permitted. Two signs, 14 inches by 22 inches each, only as approved and as provided by the town, shall be permitted to be displayed on the property of the residence where the yard sale is being conducted. Signs posted in the right-of-way, on utility poles, etc., shall be considered grounds for revocation of the permit.

    (2)

    Directional signs. Two additional signs, 14 inches by 22 inches each, only as approved and as provided by the town, shall be permitted to be displayed.

    (b)

    Time limitations. No sign or other form of advertisement shall be exhibited for more than one day prior to the day the sale is to commence.

    (c)

    Removal of signs. Signs must be removed at the close of the yard sale activities or by the end of daylight, whichever first occurs.
