§ 34-113. Definitions.

  • The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

    Grounds means an unenclosed area owned, leased, or otherwise occupied by the town.

    Smoking means the use or possession of a lighted cigarette, lighted cigar, lighted pipe, or any other lighted tobacco product.

    Town building means a building owned, leased or otherwise occupied by the town.

    Town property includes all property owned, leased or otherwise occupied by the town, including, but not limited to, town buildings; grounds around buildings; all structures associated with town buildings or other town facilities, such as structures associated with the public works department, the police and fire departments, athletic fields, the recreation/community center, and pavilions; athletic fields; and parks.
