§ 18-110. Definition.

  • The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

    Itinerant merchant means any individual traveling by any form of conveyance or on foot taking or attempting to take orders for the sale of goods or services of any type for immediate or future delivery. The term "itinerant merchant" also includes any person who temporarily occupies a building or other structure for the sole purpose of taking orders for immediate or future delivery of goods or services. The term "itinerant merchant" will not apply to those soliciting orders solely to industrial, commercial or professional establishments.
