§ 102-97. Failure to pay fare.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to refuse to pay the legal fare of any taxicab, duly licensed to operate in the town, after having hired the same. It shall be unlawful for any person to hire any such taxicab with intent to defraud the person from whom it is hired of the value of such service.

    (b)

    Violation of subsection (a) of this section shall be a misdemeanor punishable upon conviction in accordance with section 1-7.
