§ 102-21. Insurance.

  • Every taxicab owner operating in the town shall file with the inspector of taxicabs and keep in effect at all times, a policy of insurance with some insurance company duly licensed by the state insurance commissioner, to do business in this state, or provide a surety bond approved by the board of commissioners with solvent surety in the total amount of the penal sum specified herein, conditioned on that owner responding in damages for any liability incurred on account of any injury to persons or damage to property resulting from the operation of each taxicab operated by him in accordance with the minimum automobile insurance requirements as established under state law.
